How many cameras can I have on Nest Aware?

Nest Aware is a subscription service that allows you to access more features for your Nest cameras. With a Nest Aware subscription, you can have up to five Nest cameras associated with a single account. This means you can view live feeds, recordings, and alerts from up to five cameras on a single account. However, you can also have unlimited cameras but you need to create a new account for additional cameras.

Do you have to pay for Nest camera subscription?

Nest cameras come with a free basic service plan that includes 3 hours of video history, motion and sound alerts, and live streaming. However, if you want additional features such as 10 or 30 days of video history, person alerts, and the ability to create activity zones, you will need to subscribe to Nest Aware. Nest Aware is a paid subscription service that starts at $6 per month per camera, or $60 per year per camera.

It is worth mentioning that in some countries, certain features are free, while others are limited to subscription. So it is best to check the Nest website or contact Nest support in your country for more information.

Do Nest cameras record all the time?

Nest cameras will record when they detect motion or sound, or when you manually start a recording. By default, Nest cameras are set to record continuously when they detect motion or sound, however, you can adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection and turn off sound detection in the camera's settings.

If you want the camera to record all the time you can set the camera to "Continuous recording" mode, which will record 24/7. However, this feature is only available with a Nest Aware subscription, and it will consume more bandwidth and storage space.

Keep in mind that even with a Nest Aware subscription, the camera will only save the footage to the cloud if it detects motion or sound, or if you manually start a recording. To save all the footage, you may want to record the camera's live stream locally.

Does Nest Aware per camera?

Yes, Nest Aware is a subscription service that is per camera. Each Nest camera in your account will need its own Nest Aware subscription to access the additional features. With a Nest Aware subscription, you will be able to access features such as continuous video history, person alerts, and the ability to create activity zones. Can you cancel Nest aware at any time?

You will continue to have access to the features included with the free service plan, such as live streaming, motion and sound alerts, and 3 hours of video history (varies depending on the country you are in). However, you will lose access to the additional features included with Nest Aware, such as continuous video history, person alerts, and the ability to create activity zones.
